The English Council Teacher Registration is for those teachers who have achieved a level of ESOL teaching experience on an English Council course or have been recommended and have an ESOL qualification from another teaching organisation plus a good level of spoken English. All English Council recommended teachers are native English speakers and have a high level of spoken English. The English Council on rare occasions also recognises non-native English speaking teachers, those whose level of English is that of a good native speaker level.
