At last the English Council’s TESOL On-line courses are up and running, so now everyone can take advantage of the wealth of knowledge contained in the courses. You can go direct to Certificated TESOL On-line course http://www.englishcouncil.co.uk/tesol2.php or take a look at the world of TESOL with the Introduction to TESOL On-line course. http://www.englishcouncil.co.uk/tesol1.php This course has been designed especially for those with little experience of teaching English as a second language and whom wishes to discover his/her own aptitude and suitability before committing him/herself to the expense and length of a full English language teaching qualification course.
The Certificated TESOL On-line course is designed to equip trainees with a good grounding in all the skills and knowledge needed to give them the ability to teach: children, adults and teenagers English whether they are advanced and need extra help or are complete beginners.
The English Council Cert TESOL On-line course is 100 hours in duration, although there is no time limit or deadline, you decide your own schedule and your own time scale. The only fixed time of the course is the 15 hours of assessed online teaching, with our unique on-line tutor controlled lessons, these have to be arranged and coordinated with; trainee, tutor and students.

Trainees must be at least eighteen years old and at this stage, they must demonstrate a high level of spoken English, with the ability to explain and model it to others, whether or not English is their first language.
